‘Taroka Kothon’ to honour Sabina Yasmin

Today marks the birthday of legendary songstress, Sabina Yasmin, who won the hearts of the masses with her melodious voice. To celebrate the day, Channel i organised a special episode of the popular programme ‘Taroka Kothon’, featuring the melodious artiste.

The special episode will be hosted by renowned actor and director Afzal Hossain, and is scheduled to be broadcast today at 12:30 pm. During the show, Sabina Yasmin will discuss various interesting moments from her illustrious musical career.

Apart from the aforementioned programme, Channel i will pay homage to Sabina Yasmin through other programmes as well.

The magnificent artiste won multiple awards and accolades throughout her career, including the prestigious Ekushey Padak in 1984 and Shadhinata Padak in 1996. She also holds the record of winning the Bangladesh National Film Award for the Best Female Playback, 13 times, with 1500 songs to her credit.
