JALAPUTRO sails on Deepto TV

Adapted from Ekushey Padak winner Harishankar Jaladas' novel, the serial stars Shahiduzzaman Selim, Azad Abul Kalam, Ashish Khondoker, Rawnak Hasan, Runa Khan, Nadia Nodi, Monira Mithu, and Mahmudul Islam Mithu, among others. It is based on a screenplay by Mohi Muhammad.

The story revolves around the hurdles in the lives of fishermen living in a village. “Jalaputro is very close to my heart,” says Parvez Amin. “I wanted to do something like this for a long time. It was quite challenging, I must say.”

Many scenes for the serial were shot in Kuakata. It is currently being filmed in Manikganj.
