Mili in Nazrul's “Badol Borishone”

Unlike many of her contemporary actors, Farhana Mili has always relied on her acting skills than looks or glamour, to bag roles. And as a result, she has become a favourite of talented directors. Kaushik Shankar Das belongs to that club, and now he is making a challenging TV play – based on Kazi Nazrul's “Badol Borishone”, with Mili. The play has been filming in Pubail and Rupganj, where Mili plays the role of Kajori, opposite Chanchal Chowdhury. The play is being made to be aired on May 25, the National Poet's 117th birth anniversary.

“The character is close to my heart,” says Mili. “I have complete faith in Kaushik dada. He takes it upon him to make sure the production is good.” Kaushik, on the other hand, said “Mili has really fit well in the character. I have worked with her; she is a fantastic actress.”

Mili was recently seen in a special tele-film “Made In Bangladesh” that aired on four different TV channels on May Day, which got great reviews. She has a number of TV serials on air: “Bakshobondi” and “Dohon” (on ATN Bangla) and “Shunno Theke Shuru” (Rtv). Her other recent serials are Animesh Aich's “Bubuner Shat Shotero” and Sumon Anwar's “Glamour World”. She also recently wrapped up a single-episode play named “Ghunpoka”.
