“Grash” to hit the big screens

To promote quality films, Impress Telefilm Ltd has taken initiatives to produce several cinematic works. The latest venture of Impress “Grash” will release on July 28. Scripted and directed by Maria Afreen Tushar, the main cast includes Toma Mirza, RB Pritom, Jyotika Jyoti, Ripon Nath, Kochi Kondhokar, Shikha Khan, Shelly Ahsan, Munira Mithu, Badal Shahid, Rani Sarkar and more. The film will release across theatres in the capital's Balaka Cineworld, as well as in various venues in Khulna, Mymensingh and Potuakhali.

The film's narrative revolves around a young dreamer named Shahriar Tonmoy, an aspiring filmmaker who is strapped for funds to complete his project. His father, a  pensioner, agrees to lend Tonmoy some money to start a business, so that his son can channel the profits to finance his film. However, his father sets a condition; the money must be returned within six months for his daughter's imminent wedding. The project turns out to be a failure as theatres refuse to screen his film. Tonmoy is engulfed by crushing pressure on all sides.
