“Golpo Shudhu Golpo Noy” on ntv

Eid ul Azha festivities are nearly drawing to a close, but the plethora of special and entertaining television programmes are far from over. On the sixth and seventh day of Eid, ntv will air the first and second episodes of “Golpo Shudhu Golpo Noy” at 9:05pm. For the first time, the programme is bringing onto the set the family of the legendary singer Feroza Begum.

Many of Feroza Begum's family members are recognised personalities in their own fields today. However, the preceding generation of the late singer's family has never gathered together in a single setting until now. Today's episode will host Feroza Begum's siblings including Masih-ud Dowla, Md. Asaf-ud Dowla, and Shamsunnahar Begum. The second episode will air at the same time tomorrow (Friday) and will feature the latter generation, notably her sons Shafin Ahmed, Hamin Ahmed; her nieces Shusmita Anis, Rubaba Dowla, as well as Tania Ahmed and Nilufar Taaj and nephew Shahnul Hossain. The engaging and lively interview shows great insight into stories of their childhood, and their lives growing up around music, as well as their careers.

The programme is produced by Jahangir Chowdhury and hosted by Sadya Afreen Mallick, renowned Nazrul exponent and Editor of Arts & Entertainment of The Daily Star.
