EID DELIGHTS!

All that hectic revelry during Eid can be quite exhausting. There's nothing quite like putting your tired feet up and taking in your favourite TV shows -- special TV plays, tele-films, musical performances, variety shows and much more. Here's what's in store on the first three days:

Drama Serial “Patayar Pothea Neyamot”; SATV; Eid Day-6th day; 7:30pm.

ATN Bangla
Mini-series “Paracetamol Dui Bela”
Mini drama series “Paracetamol Dui Bela” will air on ATN Bangla from Eid day to 5th Day, at 8:15pm. Written by Maruf Rehman and directed by Ratan Ripon, it casts Mosharraf Karim, Anika Kabir Shokh, Joyraj and Arfan. The story revolves around a rural youth who occasionally visits Dhaka where his father works, and on one occasion, gets stuck in Dhaka due to a transport strike.
Celebrity show “Star Moments”

Drama “Nil Nirobota”; ATN Bangla; 3rd Day; 8:30pm.

Stars of the Bangladeshi silver screen will be the guests on special celebrity talk show “Star Moments”, on ATN Bangla at 11:45pm on the day of Eid. Directed by Rumana Afroz and hosted by Ferdous Bappy, the programme will have film stars from various generations – Moushumi, Ananta, Barsha, Nusraat Faria and Shipon. They will talk about their journey into filmdom, their personal and professional lives, and more.

Channel i
TV serial “Din-dupurey Dinajpurey”

Mini television serial “Din-dupurey Dinajpurey” will go on air on Channel i from the first to the seventh day of Eid at 6:10pm. Based on Faridur Reza Sagor's popular series “Chhotokaku”, the serial has been adapted and directed by Afzal Hossain. Orsha, Afzal Hossain, Shimanto, Probal, Munia Islam, Hindol, Niaz Morshed and others are in the cast.

Tele-film “Bataser Manush”; Channel i; 2nd Day; 9:35pm.

Tele-film “Batasher Manush”
Tele-film “Batasher Manush” will air on Channel i on the second day of Eid at 9:35pm. Written by Fidia Kamal and directed by Mahfuz Ahmed, the tele-film encircles a relationship of love and betrayal between Faisal and Nisha. Afran Nisho, Tisha, Mehzabien, Shabnam Faria and Mahfuz Ahmed are in the cast.

Tele-film “Expression of love”; Ekushey TV; 3rd Day; 3:30pm.

Drama “Broken Heart”

Nasim Sahanik has written and directed single-episode TV drama “Broken Heart” that will air on Ekushey TV at 10pm on Eid day. Sadia Islam Mou and Apurba are at the heart of the play, supported by Chhobi, Arafat and others. The story revolves around a successful corporate executive Nabila, who is frustrated and broken after the man of his dreams cheated on him. Romel meets him by chance, and chemistry develops between them, although there are other girls interested in Romel.

Drama “The Promise”
“The Promise”, a single-episode TV play written by Simon and directed by Manzurul Haq Manju will air on the second day of Eid at 7:20pm. It casts Sajal, Momo, Syed Shuvro and others. It is the story of a young couple in love, Niloy and Brishti, who promise to never leave one another, but circumstances pull them apart. When they reunite five years later, things are not the same.

Drama “Tumi Amake Boloni”

Nobel and Aupee Karim-starrer television drama “Tumi Amake Boloni” will air on ntv on the second day of Eid at 8:05pm. Written by Maruf Rehman and directed by Mahfuz Ahmed, the play encircles married couple Sohel and Ohona. One day Ohona comes to know that Sohel has concealed something very important from her. Nobel, Aupee Karim, Mahfuz Ahmed, Nazira Ahmed Mou and others are in the cast.

Tele-film “Chokro”
ntv will air tele-film “Chokro” on the third day of Eid at 2:30pm. Written and directed by Wahid Anam, the tele-film encircles a children and women trafficking network in South Asia. Tisha, Shatabdi Wadud, Orchita Sporshia, Lutfar Rahman George, Mishu Sabbir and others are in the cast.

Banglavision
Mini serial “Sikandar Boksh Ekhon Nij Gram-e”

Six-episode television serial “Sikandar Boksh Ekhon Nij Gram-e” will air on Banglavision from the first to the sixth day of Eid at 6:25pm. Written and directed by Sagor Jahan, the play is a sequel to the popular series which encircles Sikandar Boksh. Mosharraf Karim, Anika Kabir Shokh, Tania Ahmed, Farukh Ahmed, AKM Hasan, Afran Nisho, Iresh Zaker, Shamima Naznin and others are in the cast.

Drama “Wife Mane Istri” Banglavision; Eid Day-6th day; 11:10pm.

Tele-film “Life Support”
Tele-film “Life Support” will air on Banglavision on the third day of Eid at 2:10pm. Written and directed by Masud Sezan, the tele-film encircles Shahriar and Sadia who go through different problems in their conjugal life. Riaz, Moutushi Biswas, Dr. Ezaz, Shamima Naznin, Tarik Swapan and others are in the cast.  

Drama “Mr. 420”; Desh TV; Eid Day-7th day; 9pm.

TV Play “Ei Roud Ei Brishti”

“Ei Roud Ei Brishti”, written by Apel Mahmud and directed by Golam Muktadir, will be telecast on Desh TV at 7:45pm on Eid day. Apurba and Sharlin portray Shaila and Pulak, whose parents fix their marriage. But neither of them wants to go into arranged marriage, and decide to get to know each other. The story of the TV play encircles the first three days of their meeting, and how they realise they want to spend their lives together.

Drama “Seram Batpar”
Shokh, Mir Sabbir, Faruq Ahmed and Sharmily Ahmed put their acting skills on display in “Seram Batpar”, a single-episode drama to be aired on Desh TV at 7:45pm on the second day of Eid. Written by Farhad Milon and directed by Sheikh Selim, it is the story of Feku who grows up from a school-going prankster to a full-blown con artist in his adult life. When he meets Pori, he falls in love and gets married, only to find out that Pori and her family are cheats and have swindled him.

Dance show “Dancing Mahi”; Rtv; 2nd Day; 5:30pm.

Miniseries “Pera”

Six-episode television serial “Pera” will air on Rtv from the first to the sixth day of Eid at 6:30pm. Written and directed by Arif Rahman, the serial encircles two friends and how they deceive people in order to earn livelihood. Mosharraf Karim, Hasan Masud, Marjuk Russel, Badhon, Schumonn Patwary, Sohel Khan and others are in the cast.

TV play “Jomoj”
Rtv will air single-episode television play “Jomoj” on the second day of Eid at 7:50pm. Written by Animesh Aich and directed by Azad Kalam, the play is a sequel to the popular series “Jomoj” where Mosharraf Karim plays a number of characters. Nisha and Mosharraf Karim are in the cast.  

Tele-film “Projapoti Bhalobasha”; Maasranga TV; 3rd Day; 12:10pm.

Tele-film “Breakup Story”

Aparna and Afran Nisho starrer tele-film “Breakup Story” will go on air on Maasranga Television on Eid day at 12:10pm. Written by Tuhin Russel and directed by Mabrur Rashid Bannah, the tele-film centres Neel, a youth so obsessed with her girlfriend Odhora, that their relationship comes at a halt.

Drama “Medal”
Single-episode television play “Medal” will air on Maasranga Television on the second day of Eid at 10:30pm. Written and directed by Nasir Al Mamun, the play encircles Karim, a car driver. One day Karim takes passengers from Savar and eventually realises that two of the passengers are car hijackers. Mosharraf Karim, Kochi Khondkar, Milan Bhatta, Marjuk Russel and others are in the cast.

Drama “Rong O Rong”; Channel 9; Eid Day; 7:30pm.

Tele-film “Water Colour”

Special tele-film “Water Colour” will air on Channel 9 on the second day of Eid, at 2:45pm. Written by Habib Zakaria Ullash and directed by Imon Shikder, it casts Tarin, Apurba, Samapti and others. It circles a rising business celebrity Ifti, who shies away from the press. When two journalists, Natasha and Nirjhar -- of a just-launching business daily go to his office without appointment, Ifti brings out a diamond ring and proposes to Natasha.

TV drama “Dead Son Story”
TV play “Dead Son Story”, written and directed by Dipangkar Dipon and starring Mir Sabbir and Jenny, will be telecast at 9:45pm on the third day of Eid. Talented writer Kishore one day wakes up to find his long-estranged wife Shoumi at the door. Kishore had run away from Shoumi and his responsibilities when she told him she was pregnant. Now, Shoumi is leaving for Canada and Kishore must look after his never-met-before son for six months, until Shoumi takes him away.

Tele-film “Ekti Oporadh O Ek Nikhoj Manush”

Tele-film “Ekti Oporadh O Ek Nikhoj Manush” will air on the second day of Eid on SATV, at 3pm. Written by Badrul Anam Soud and directed by Juboraj Khan, it stars the mother-son duo of Sara Zaker and Iresh Zaker. It begins with Anjan being missing for four days, and the chaos that ensues. His mother Rehnuma and wife Maya talk among themselves, where Rehnuma shares how his husband had left her to get married again. When she wakes up next morning, Anjan is back, and says he has found his long-lost father, who is now in his death bed.

Tele-film “Oporichito Ek Raat”
Tele-film “Oporichito Ek Raat” will air on the third day of Eid on SATV, at 3pm. Written by Badrul Anam Soud and directed by Arif Khan, it stars the hit on-screen couple of Afzal Hossain and Mou. Zayed and Arpita, who have been in a steady relationship for quite some time, aren't married because of Zayed's disinterest in it. When they attend the marriage anniversary celebrations of a friend, everyone pesters them on the matter, and an annoyed Arpita goes to the roof. But instead of Zayed, someone else follows her there.

Drama “High Heel”; Gtv; Eid Day; 6:30pm.

Special play “Neem Pata'r Juice”

This Eid, Gtv is airing one special TV play every day, based on a specific region of Bangladesh. The first of them is titled “Neem Pata'r Juice”, to be broadcast on Eid day at 7:30pm. Written and directed by Sharaf Ahmed Jibon, it casts Mishu Sabbir, Saila Sabi, Naznin Chumki and Shadhin Khosru, among others.

Tele-film “Bhalobeshe Jai”
Shihab Shahin's hit 2011 tele-film “Bhalobashi Tai” will be brought back to TV on gtv this Eid, at 4:30pm on Eid day. It features a heavyweight cast including Tisha, Mim, Hillol, Arifin Shuvo and others, and is a romantic story with undertones of friendship and bonding. Like all of Gtv's entertainment programmes this Eid, the tele-film will be free of any ad breaks.
