EID DELIGHTS!

It's Eid… Once more TV channels vie for viewer attention. There's quite an offering out there--TV plays, tele-films,musical performances, celebrity adda, variety shows and much more. So viewers take time off from that hectic Eid revelry to see a programme that appeals to you.

Eid special Ittyadi

Apart from a special dance number, mini drama, invited and foreign guests segments –Eid special “Ittyadi” offers many attractions. The show starts with National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam's popular Eid song “O mon ramzaner oi roja'r sheshey” performed by a group of visually impaired artistes. Renowned singer Andrew Kishore croons a patriotic number written by Mohammad Rafiquzzaman. The theme is the recurring incidents of violence against women and children.

Actors Chanchal Chowdhury and Syed Babu are the respective actors in musical dramas. Ittyadi is written, directed and hosted by Hanif Sanket and sponsored by Keya Cosmetics Limited. The show will air on BTV and BTV World on the second day of Eid at 10:10pm.

ATN

TV Play: “Photocopy Ponchash”

On the third day of Eid festivities, ATN Bangla will air TV play “Photocopy Ponchas.” Scripted by Ahsan Alamgir and directed by Mujibul Haque Khokhon, the play casts Zahid Hasan, Nawsheen, Aliraj, Anjoli, and Shathi. It will air at 8:50pm.

The plot follows two brothers who have been kidnapped at birth, and their trials and tribulations before reunion.

Film: “Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini 2”; ATN Bangla; Eid Day; 3:10pm.

Dance Show: “Flying Step”

Dance show “Flying Step” will air on the fourth day of Eid at 2:30pm. Hosted by DJ Sonica, the show will feature a number of dance pieces in sync with popular film songs. “Flying Steps” has been directed by Koin Rahman.

Channel i

Channel i will screen six new films during the festivities:

“Darpan Bisharjan”- Directed by Sumon Dhar, the film is based on Polli Kobi Jasimuddin's story “Ayna”. Starring Aparna Ghosh, Azad, Maznun Mizan, Dihan and others, the film will air on Eid day at 2:30pm.

 “Chhuye Diley Mon”-Scripted and directed by Shihab Shahin, and staring Arifin Shuvo, Zakia Bari Momo, Iresh Zaker, Misa Sawdagar and Nawshaba, the film will air on the second day of Eid at 10:30am.

Film: “Black”; Channel i; 3rd day; 10:30am.

 “Black”- Written and directed by Kamal Mohammad Kibria, and casting Indian actor Soham alongside Bidya Sinha Mim in the lead, “Black” will air on the third day of Eid at 10:30am.

“Gulliver's Travels” - Directed by Rob Letterman, the film will air on the fourth day of Eid at 10:30am.

“Laal Chor”- Scripted and directed by Nader Chowdhury, and starring Anisul Haque Milon, Mohona Mim, Nader Chowdhury and Masum Aziz,  the film will premiere on the fifth day of Eid at 10:30am.

“Mon Jane Na Moner Thikana”—Written and directed by Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, and starring Razzak, Moushumi, Irfan Sazzad and Porimoni,  the film will air on the sixth day of Eid at 10:30am.

TV Serial: “Honeymoon Express”

Seven- episode mini TV series “Honeymoon Express” will air from the first to the seventh day of Eid at 9:25pm. Written and directed by S. A. Haque Alik, the series has an all star cast including Mir Sabbir, Emon, Abul Hayat, Bhabna, Nadia, Dilara Zaman and others.

Entertainment Programme: “Eki Brintey”; Ekushey TV; Eid Day; 10:00pm.

Telefilm: “Trimatrik”

Tele-film “Trimatrik” will air on Eid day at 11:15am. Written by Masum Reza and directed by Aranya Anowar, the cast includes Tauquir Ahmed, Tarin, Bhabna, and others.

TV Play: “Madhabilata, Groho Ar Na”

Single-episode TV play “Madhabilata, Groho Ar Na” will air on the second day of Eid at 11:30pm. Written and directed by Sagor Jahan, the cast includes Tariq Anam Khan, Aupee Karim, Samir and Iris Ahmed.

TV Serial: “Love and Co.”; ntv; Eid day to 7th day; 6:10pm daily.

Special Programme: “Natok-e O Gaan-e”

Special programme “Natok-e O Gaan-e” will air on the third day of Eid at 9pm. Popular and as well as promising singers -- Kumar Bishwajit, Fahmida Nabi, Bappa Mazumder, Agun, Ibrar Tipu, Kona and Elita -- have taken part in the programme, hosted and produced by Farah Sharmin and Alfred Khokon respectively.

Banglavision

Mini TV Serial: “Wow Fantastic”

Starting from the Eid day to the sixth day, mini TV serial “Wow Fantastic” will air at 9:40pm daily. Written and directed by Masud Sezan, the cast includes Chanchal Chowdhury, Bhabna, Mishu Sabbir, Dr. Ejaz and Shamima Naznin.

Drama: “Ester Mofiz”; Banglavision; 5th Day; 11:55pm.

Tele-film: “Aloukik Premer Ghran”

Starring Ahmed, Aparna, Orsha and others, tele-film “Aloukik Premer Ghran” will air on the second day of Eid at 2:10pm. Written and directed by Mahmud Didar, the tele-film revolves around an emerging gangster who rediscovers his humanity when he encounters a six-month old baby in the car that he has stolen.

Desh TV

Shubhamita Banerjee on “Music Café”

Starting from the Eid day to the seventh day of Eid, live musical programme “Music Café” will air daily at 10pm. On the second day, popular Indian singer Shubhamita Banerjee will be present as guest at the show.

Drama Serial: “Tini Amader Bokor Bhai”

Seven-episode drama serial “Tini Amader Bokor Bhai” will air daily at 5:45pm starting from Eid day to the seventh day.

The story encircles an emotional Bokor Bhai who loves to imitate “Baker Bhai”, a popular TV character once played by Asaduzzaman Noor. Bokor Bhai is very popular in his locality as he stands by the poor. He is romantically involved with Kona who disapproves of his activities.

Written and directed by Mabrur Rashid Bannah, the cast includes Arfan Nisho, Mehzabien, Saiduzzaman Shawon and Shamim Hasan Sarkar.

LUX Sourav-er Golpo -- A six-day TV Fest

“LUX Sourav-er Golpo” presents viewers with six TV plays based on important Bangla literary works. These include Humayun Ahmed's “Esho”, Akhteruzzaman Elias's “Premer Golpo,” Hasan Azizul Haque's “Mon Tar Shonkhini,” Anisul Haque's “Bikel Belar Golpo,” Emdadul Haque Milon's “O Radha O Krishno,” and Moinul Ahsan Saber's “Ei Golpota Shesh Hoye Gelo.”

The six TV plays cast LUX Superstars Suborna Mustafa, Sadia Islam Mou, Momo, Mehjabeen, Toya and Munmun, while the directors are Meher Afroz Shaon, Golam Sohrab Dodul, Badrul Anam Soud, Himel Ashraf, Ashfaque Nipun and Wahid Tarek.

The plays will air from the first to the sixth day at 10:05 pm.

TV Play: “Mon Tar Shonkhini”

TV play “Mon Tar Shonkhini” starring Sadia Islam Mou and Shahadat, will air on the fourth day of Eid at 10:04pm. The play has been written by Hasan Azizul Haque and directed by Badrul Anam Soud.

Shafin Ahmed: Now as an Actor

Singer Shafin Ahmed is all geared up to start his journey as an actor for this upcoming Eid. Written by Tahsin Shams and directed by Farhad Ahmed, he will be seen in six-episode Eid special mini-series “Rhythm of Life”. The play will air on Maasranga TV on the sixth day of Eid.

Drama Serial: “Bhalobasha Bhalobashi”

Starting from the Eid day, six-episode drama serial “Bhalobasha Bhalobashi” will air every day at 7:30pm. Written and directed by SA Haque Alik, the cast includes Nirob, Shajol, Monalisa, Tanjin Tisha and Amzad Hossain. 

Tele-film: “Bhalobasha Dujonai”; Maasranga Television; 2nd Day of Eid; 2:40pm.

Children's show: “Eid Anandadhara”

Three-episode children's entertainment show “Eid Anandadhara” will air at 9am on the first, second and third day of Eid. The programme, produced by Mizan Rahman, will feature dances, music, fashion shows, game shows, magic shows and more.

Four special episode of “Showbiz Tonight”

Jamuna Television will air four special episodes of their popular programme “Showbiz Tonight” from the first to the fourth day of Eid at 8:00pm. Dhallywood actress Mahiya Mahi and her husband will participate in an hour long programme sharing their personal lives on Eid day while popular actress Jaya Ahsan together with Kolkata-based film director Indranil Roy Chowdhury will take part in the same programme on the second day of Eid.

Tele-film: “X factor”

Tele-film “X factor” will air on the second day of Eid at 11:30pm. Written and directed by Shihab Shahin, the cast includes Apurba, Mithila, Iresh Zaker, Momo Apurba and Farhana Mili. 

TV play: “Shesh-er Porey”

Single-episode TV play “Shesh-er Porey” will go on air on the third day of Eid at 8:30pm. Written and directed by Chayanika Chowdhury, the cast includes Raisul Islam Asad and Subarna Mustafa.

Boishakhi TV

TV Play: “Ekti Batabi Lebur Golpo”

On the first day of Eid, Boishaki TV will telecast a TV play titled “Ekti Batabi Lebur Golpo”. Written by Yousuf Ali Khokon and directed by Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman, the play casts Anisur Rahman Milon, Nisha, Muktonil and others.

Celebrity Talk Show: “Tara Tin Jon”

For the first time, superstars Sohel Rana, Farooq, and Rozina will appear as guests on “Tara Tin Jon,” a celebrity talk show, hosted by Omar Sani. The programme, produced by Alamgir Rasel, will air on the third day of Eid at 3:05pm.
