Bhabna back on TV

Ashna Habib Bhabna began her career on TV, and gained popularity on the small screen, but she has been away from the medium for a while, primarily because of her busy times with her debut film “Bhoyonkor Shundor”. After a year and a half, Bhabna is returning to familiar territories now that the film's shooting has packed up.

Her transition, however, will likely not be too bumpy, as she had Animesh Aich (who is directing “Bhoyonkor Shundor”) as the director for this project that was shot recently. Sazu Khadem will co-star in the play, titled “Bhuboner Bashor Raat”, set to air this Eid on ntv. Another play is also in the works, once again with Aich, titled “Onugomon”. It's an adaptation of a Moshiul Alam story. Onugomon will be broadcast on Gazi TV this Eid.

About her role, Bhabna said “I play a very simple village girl in 'Onugomon', who speaks a Rajshahi dialect. It's something I've never done before so it was challenging, but I am always drawn to off-track work. It's a love story in an impoverished community. The storyline moved me a lot.”

Bhabna is slated to shoot two more TV plays for Eid, under the helm of the same director.
