“Aj Purobi'r Din” on to air on ntv

Marking Independence Day, a special single episode TV play “Aj Poorobir Din” will go on air on ntv at 9:05pm on March 26. Written by Masum Reza, the play has been directed by Mahmud Didar. Aparna Ghosh, Omer Ayaz Oni, Rimi Karim and others play different roles in it. 

The story revolves around Purobi, a 'beerangona' (women who were assaulted and raped by the Pakistani occupational forces during the Liberation War). As the society did not accept her after her return from the War and even her lover turned away, Purobi left the country for Europe. After many years, Purobi comes back to her homeland, and reflects on her past and present.
