Prangonemor to stage “Ami O Rabindranath” today

Theatre troupe Prangonemor is set to stage their popular play "Ami O Rabindranath" at Nilima Ibrahim Auditorium of Bangladesh Mahila Samiti today.

Written and directed by Nuna Afroze, the play will be staged as part of the month-long Bhanga-Gora Natyotshab.

Set in an unknown period in the post-Tagore era, the play brings Rabindranath to the forefront, depicting his encounter with teenager Othoi who goes to see Shilaidah Kuthibari in Kushtia. Tagore tells Othoi about his time, his creativity and different aspects of his personal life.

Ananto Hira, Nuna Afroze, Awal Reza, Ramiz Raju, Towhid Biplab and Sarwar Saikat form the cast of the play. 

Nuna Afroze has also designed the play and costumes, while Ramiz Raju and Toufique Robin have designed the music and light respectively.
