'Secret of History' staged at BSA

Bunon Theatre's production Secret of History showcases a painful chapter of Bangladesh's history. On Sunday, the 8th production of Secret of History was staged in the Experimental Hall of Bangladeshi Shilpakala Academy (BSA). The story is based on 1975's Jail Killing Day and the Sipahi-Janata Biplob.

Four national leaders were assassinated at Dhaka Central Jail on November 3, 1975. In the name of Sipahi-Janata Biplob, soldiers and freedom fighters were brutally murdered in the same year.

The stories of these soldiers were depicted in the play. Their dead bodies were buried mercilessly and their families suffered. Written by Anan Zaman and directed by Shuddhoman Choiton, Secret of History also portrayed how power was misused by the leaders at the time. Minister of Information of Bangladesh, Hasanul Haq Inu, was the special guest of the evening. He was a witness of this dark time in history. He hopes that the next generation will know the true incidents through the play.
