Theatre and Performance Studies Department of Dhaka University is set to bring a new theatrical production, Aparera (The Others), to be staged on July 10 to 14 at 7 pm at the  department's laboratory Natmandal auditorium.

This production dramatises the anatomy of love, relationship and desire in context of contemporary designs of living. This theatrical experimentation reexamines European modern masterpieces. It explores the idea of 'other' and love by engaging Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House and The Lady from the Sea, Russian playwright Anton Chekhov's The Seagull and Three Sisters, as well as Swedish playwright August Strindberg's The Father and Miss Julie.

The production is designed and directed by Ashiq Rahman Leeon, while Shahman Moishan worked as the dramaturge. Both of them are working as the Assistant Professor at the department. Aparera is performed by the Honors 3rd Year students of the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies.
