Drama & Music Club of Scholastica Senior Campus (at Uttara, Dhaka) presented a William Shakespeare comedy "Much Ado About Nothing" at its STM Hall on November 19 and 20. Yasmeen Murshed, founding chairperson, Scholastica and Dr. Enamul Huq, renowned theatre personality, were chief guests on the respective days.

"Much Ado About Nothing" is considered one of Shakespeare's best comedies, combining elements of robust hilarity with more serious meditations on honour, shame, and court politics.

Students from different classes formed four crews of actors, dancers, and musicians to stage the play. Iftekhar Iqbal Iftee and Khondkar Tamkin Saqir jointly directed the production with Kazi Toufikul Islam Emon and Ashfakul Ashekin as mentors. Tazwar Hussain and Salman Mehedy Titas directed music while light design was done by Ashfakul Ashekin and Zillur Rahman. Ibtesam Abdullah and Afsana Tarannum designed costumes for the production, coordinated by Brig. Gen. (Retd) Kaiser Ahmed, Itrat Rahman and Sabina Mustafa.
