Sumaiya Shimu ties the knot!

Popular TV actress Sumaiya Shimu has just tied the knot, to Nazrul Islam. Nazrul is currently the country director for the international NGO Relief International. Their wedding ceremony was held today (August 28) at the Hotel Amari in the capital.

According to Shimu, the marriage was arranged by her family, and the engagement had taken place last month.

Her Gaye Holud ceremony was held on Wednesday, while her post-wedding reception will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at Hotel Le Meridien.

On the auspicious occasion, Shimu sought prayers and good wishes from all her fans and well-wishers, and said she is blessed with people’s love, and would like their support in all walks of life.
