Radio Next 93.2FM's second anniversary

Members of the Radio Next family cut their birthday cake.

May 6 marked the second anniversary of Radio Next 93.2 FM, and the day saw lively celebrations at their premises. Beginning in the morning, the first half of the event was open to adoring fans and listeners who had a chance to interact with the Radio Next Team. This was followed by a variety of performances after lunch, which included a stand-up comedy act by Yamin Khan and a magic show by Ghalib.

Musical artistes that performed on the day include Sufi from Arbovirus, Xefer Rahman, Faisal Ruddi, Tanveer Alam Shawjeeb, Pantho Kanai, Jajabor Rasel , Autumnal Moon and more. Prithwi Raj, who is the creative producer of the station stated, “We had fans visit us from all over the country, and it was quite special to see our hard work pay off that way.” The event was uploaded live on Facebook and YouTube.

Prithwi Raj also went on to describe Radio Next's journey: “I have been involved as a creative producer right from when we had started acquiring the necessary equipment towards the end of 2014. On May 6, 2015 we had our initial launch. I would describe Radio Next as a much evolved form of radio broadcasting, as we are quite interactive with our listeners by opening up additional platforms on Facebook. Before the start of any show, we post an update along with a relevant image, and the RJ reads comments left by those tuned in. SMS is a thing of the past, now that most people use smart phones, and we have had great response so far with our approach.”

He further added that Radio Next is not just a radio station, but a production house where they produce their own dramas, short films, music videos and songs. “Our efficient and highly talented house team is able to create their own content, rather than limit themselves to play other people's music like most radio stations. In the future we plan to take it to a new level with regards to audio-visuals, and hope to produce our own feature films.”
