TV Specials on Humayun Ahmed’s Birth Anniversary

Today is the 72nd birth anniversary of legendary litterateur, popular playwright and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed. The Daily Star brings you a compilation of television shows that will be aired today, commemorating the legend.

Special guest show, "Humayun Ahmeder Nilpodmer Choya," featuring actors Zahid Hasan and Mahfuz Ahmed will be aired at 12:05 pm on Banglavision.

Directed by Meher Afroz Shaon, based on Humayun Ahmed's novel, feature film, "Krishnopokkho," will be aired at 5 pm on Channel i. The film features Riaz and Mahiya Mahi in lead roles.

Channel i will be hosting virtual "Humayun Mela," live from their studio from 11 am onwards.

Special telefilm, "Botol Bhoot", derived from Humayun Ahmed's short story and directed by Meher Afroz Shawon will be aired at 3 pm on Duronto Television. Mamunur Rashid, Jhuna Chowdhury and Abul Kalam Azad among others will portray lead characters in the telefilm.

Musical programme on Humayun Ahmed's favorite songs, "Je Thake Akhi Pollobe," featuring Meher Afroz Shaon, will be aired at 9:45 pm on Banglavision.
