Shows to watch on television this Eid

Holudboni

Hundreds of new television programmes come out during the Eid holidays every year. Sadly, several television projects were disrupted this year because of the ongoing pandemic. Despite such hindrances, top television channels of the country have included some exceptional programmes in their Eid-Ul-Azha schedules, as TV shoots were permitted to resume, with strict conditions. The Daily Star brings you a compilation of some of the finest television shows that will be aired in the country throughout the festive season.

Haate Rekhe Haat

Jointly directed by Taher Shipon and Mukul Ray Chowdhury, the feature film, Holudboni, is a Bangladesh-India joint production featuring Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Paoli Daam and Nusrat Imrose Tisha in the lead roles. The film will air on the second day of Eid at 10:15 am on Channel i.

Kotha Shunte Hobe

Directed by Tauquir Ahmed, the eight-episode television drama Rupali Jotsnay, featuring Sabnam Faria, Rawnak Hasan, Abul Hayat and Dilara Zaman will air from today, at 6:10 pm on Channel i.

Directed and hosted by Shykh Seraj, the popular show, Krishaker Eid Ananda, will air on the second day of Eid at 4:30 pm on Channel i. The show will shine a spotlight on the resilience of our farmers who have borne the brunt of the coronavirus pandemic and Cyclone Amphan. Apart from featuring entertaining rural games, the show will present intriguing reports on the Nuremberg trial, Vasco da Gama, the Niles and legendary Bangladeshi actor Babita.

Krishaker Eid Ananda

Written and directed by Ashfaque Nipun, the telefilm, Victim, featuring Safa Kabir, Aupee Karim and Afran Nisho, will air on the third day of Eid at 2:10 pm on BanglaVision.

Written and directed by S A Haque Olike, the television drama, Kotha Shunte Hobe, featuring Tauquir Ahmed and Tareen in the lead roles will air on the second day at 8:20 pm on ATN Bangla.

Featuring Zahid Hasan, Nadia Ahmed, and Shaju Khadem among others, the seven episode television drama, Mesh Rashi, written and directed by Adibashi Mizan, will air from Eid day at 6:45 pm on NTV.

Written and directed by Mizanur Rahman Aryan, the special drama, Haate Rekhe Haat, featuring Apurba and Zakia Bari Mamo, will air on Eid day at 10:30 pm on SA TV.

Directed by S M Kamruzzaman Sagar, the telefilm, Babara Shob Pare, featuring Shatabdi Wadud, Shanu, Shahiduzzaman Selim and Golam Farida Chhanda will air on the second day at 7:30 pm on Maasranga Television.

Featuring Khurshid Alam, Agun, Salma, Rinku and Muhin among other singers, the seven-episode musical show, Gane Gane Eid Anondo, will air from Eid day at 11 am on Boishakhi TV.

Sisimpur's three- day Eid special episodes, Let's Have Fun on Eid and Stay Safe, will air from Eid Day at 11:20 am on BTV.

Duronto TV will broadcast five movies, dubbed in Bangla, for kids. They include: Despicable Me (Eid day, 10 pm), The Croods (Day 2, 10 pm), Barney's Great Adventure (Day 3, 10 pm), and An American Girl: Grace Stirs up Success (Day 4, 10 am). The other blockbuster English films are- The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn (Eid day, 3 pm), The Smurfs (Day 2, 3 pm) and Casper: A Spirited Beginning (Day 3, 3 pm).
