“She has been trying to meet me for the last two years”— Bappy Chowdhury

Popular actor Bappy Chowdhury is one of the busiest actors in the film industry. He has impressed audiences with his performances in films like Bhalobashar Rong, Sultana Bibiana, Dongiri and others. On the sets of Nayok, Bappy met one of his ardent fans.

Around two years ago, I was shooting for my film Nayok at FDC. During the lunch break, I came out of the sets and heard a lady shouting. Immediately after that, she fainted.  rushed there and wanted to know what the matter was. She gained her consciousness after two and a half hours and told me she came from Mymensingh, with her kid, just to meet me.  learnt that she has been trying to meet me for the last two years. Later, I got to know that the security guards at FDC were taking large sums of money from her, stating that they can help her meet me. I tried to find out who were behind this, but due to lack of evidence, I couldn't find the culprits. I was really upset.

On the day that she came to the sets of Nayok, I took her to my make-up room and had lunch with her. I told her that from now on, she is my sister and whenever she wants to meet me, she can contact my manager. She was really happy.  I have met several of my fans throughout my career, but that meeting was definitely special.
