Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg’ franchise gets an animated series

Salman Khan's iconic character Chulbul Pandey from hit film "Dabangg" (2010) is back in a new avatar. The film, which is directed by Abinav Kashyap, introduced fans to Khan's rogue but good-at-heart cop. It not only entertained the masses but also spun into a whole franchise, thanks to its popularity.

It has now returned as an animated series, planned across two seasons, on Disney+ Hotstar. The first season will have 52 half-hour episodes.

Khan took to social media to share that it has also dropped on Cartoon Network from May 31, possibly to reach more kids. The show features the animated avatars of all iconic characters of the franchise.
