Gondi was the first film where director Fakhrul Arefeen Khan worked with eminent Indian actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty. The movie was released prior to the Covid-19 breakout.

The director has yet again declared a new film titled "JK 1971", in which Sabyasachi Chakraborty will be featured. Subhra Sourav Das will play the lead role in the film. The shooting will start this April. "Selection of other artists are underway", shared Fakhrul Arefeen Khan.

The film is based on the real-life incident that occurred on 3 December, 1971, when a French citizen named Jean Kay hijacked a Pakistan International Airlines plane in support of the people of Bangladesh and their struggle for independence.

"This is a true story, as reported by Prothom Alo in 2016. The news really caught my attention, and therefore I decided to make a movie in respect of this incident," said the director.
