Rukeya Khatun Lyceum School celebrates 25th anniversary

Marking its 25th anniversary, Rukeya Khatun Lyceum School organised a day-long programme at its premises in Barlekha, Moulvibazar.  

The programme was chaired by Abul Imam Md Kamran Chowdhury, President of Rukeya Khatun Lyceum School management committee and Mayor of the Barlekha Upazila Municipal. Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister and the incumbent Member of Parliament from Maulvibazar-1 Md Shahab Uddin inaugurated the programme as a chief guest. Nazia Shirin, Deputy Commissioner of Moulvibazar, Md Faruq Ahmed, Superintend of Police in Moulvibazar, Shoeb Ahmed, Barlekha Upazila Chairman, and Shamim Al Imran, Barlekha UNO addressed the event as special guests. The programme was coordinated by assistant teachers Shamim Ahmed and Tumpa Rani Das. 

The day began with a rally from the Shaheed Minar to Barlekha Upazila main road where old and existing students participated. Following the inaugural ceremony, a discussion was also held. A cultural programme was also organised in the evening where prominent local artists performed. Renowned band Shironamhin rendered inspirational songs and indigenous students presented dance recitals and dramas. The programme concluded with distribution of awards and gifts.
