Renowned composer Wajid Khan passes away

Wajid Khan from the famous Bollywood composer duo Sajid-Wajid passed away on May 31 at a Mumbai hospital at the age of 42, due to renal complications and COVID-19. His last rites took place in Mumbai.

As per reports, the music composer had a pre-existing kidney condition before he tested positive for COVID-19. He was admitted to Surana Hospital and Research Centre in Chembur after he developed an infection, and had also undergone a kidney transplant. Since the surgery, he was immunocompromised.

 Sajid and Wajid are credited with albums of Dabangg, Wanted, Ek Tha Tiger and many others. They started their career in 1998 with the Salman Khan-starrer Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. They composed the actor's recent single, Bhai Bhai, as well.

Tributes have been pouring in for Wajid Khan, who worked with several prominent artistes and directors throughout his musical career. Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar and Parineeti Chopra were amongst the many who mourned the untimely demise of the composer, on social media.
