Renowned actor Tabibul Islam Babu no more

Senior theatre and television actor Tabibul islam Babu passed away today at 6:45 pm at the capital's Crecent Hospital. The 77 year old was battling Covid-19.

The news was confirmed to The Daily Starby actor Ahsanul Haque Minu.

He was a founding President of renowned theatre troupe, Theatre.

Some of his memorable works are "Khoto Bikkhoto", "Shat Ghaater Kanakori", "Shesh Rokkha", and "Rabindranath Thakur er Dui Bon", among others.

In 1995, he created a new troupe named Natyajan.

The actor also featured in many television projects, as well as Tanvir Mokammel's film "Jibon Dhuli".

The actor's Namaz-e-Janaza will take place tomorrow after Zuhr prayers at Dhanmondi 7 monque. He will be laid to rest in Rayer Bazar Buddhijibi Graveyard.
