'Protibadi Natyo Utshab 2020' raises voice against oppression

 A drama festival titled "Protibadi Natyo Utshab 2020" was held at the auditorium of Bulbul Lalitakala Academy (BAFA), yesterday.

Arranged by Adi Dhaka Shangskritik Jote, the festival shed light on the ongoing oppression, rape and violence against women.

Actor Jhuna Chowdhury, Co-President, Shommilito Shangskritik Jote inaugurated the event while Kamal Bayezid, Secretary General, Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation, Ahmed Giyas, General Secretary, Bangladesh Pothonatok Parishad and Md Fazlul Haque General Secretary, Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts attended the ceremony as chief guests.

Golam Jilani, Drama Secretary, supervised the event that was presided over by Manos Bose Babu Ram, President, Adi Dhaka Shangskritik Jote. Hanif Khan, President of Adi Dhaka Shangskritik Jote delivered the welcome speech.

Seven theatre groups performed at the ceremony—Dhaka Rongopith Nattyodol, Britto Nattyodol, Utsho Nattyodol, Bo'Natua, Natnondon and Theatre '52.

After the stage performances the groups were honoured with commemorative prizes.
