Noted actors join Chattogram City Corporation election campaigns

The mayoral election of Chattogram City Corporation is going to be held soon. Noted actors Riaz, Symon Sadik, Aruna Biswas, Apu Biswas, Ferdous, Purnima, and Mahiya Mahi joined the mayoral aspirants of Bangladesh Awami League, asking for votes in the pre-election campaigns. Renowned television personalities Tanvin Sweety, Tareen Jahan, Bijori Barkatullah, and Mir Sabbir were also present during the campaigns, among many others.

 These stars have been going around the city in trucks marked with the Awami League symbol, a boat, requesting votes. "I have come here to encourage the people and I hope my presence helps the Bangladesh Awami League candidate Rezaul Karim Chowdhury to win," says Tanvin Sweety. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury has been accompanying the stars in the trucks.

While the actors are asking for support for the mayoral candidate, their fans are gathering on the roads they enter, in excitement.

Decorated beautifully with flowers and posters, the stars are enjoying the beats of music, chanting the lines, "Jitbe Nouka, Jitbe Jonogon".

Popular actor Ferdous arrived in Chattogram this morning. "I will be joining the others from today. I will start the journey with the Press Club, finishing off at Shah Amanat International Airport," he says. "I have come to support the Awami League and wish them all the best in this election."

The Chattagram City Corporation elections are scheduled to be held on January 27. "The people have been welcoming to us," says Apu Biswas. "I hope that our hard work results in a positive win."
