National Dance Competition 2019 underway

Bangladesh Nritya Shilpi Sangstha (BNSS), together with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) has organised the age and theme-based National Dance Competition 2019. The nationwide primary selection chapter of the dancers started at all the district and divisional headquarters on September 10.

Following the two-day (September 15-16) primary selection in Dhaka, the primary selection of all the Dhaka divisional contestants will take place at the National Art Gallery Plaza of BSA on September 17 and 18.

The conceded contestants of all the divisions will participate in the final competition of the National Dance Competition 2019 to be held at the Music, Dance and Recitation Building of BSA in a three-day (October 24-26) programme.

BNSS President Minu Haque, BSA DG Liaquat Ali Lucky, along with the country’s renowned dancers-choreographers Amanul Haque, Farhana Chowdhury Baby and Tabassum Ahmed were present at the inaugural programme of the Dhaka district primary selection.  

The competition has instilled excitement among the dancers of the country. The winners of the competition will be awarded at the final event. Founded in 1978, BNSS is an organisation dedicated to overall benefit and nourishment of dancers and artistes in general.
