Mustapha Khalid Palash celebrates his birthday today

Today marks the 55th birth anniversary of renowned architect, painter and multi instrumentalist-singer Mustapha Khalid Palash, the co-founder of Delvistaa Foundation. In addition, Palash is the editor of a quarterly Art and Architecture magazine titled DOT and the Principal Architect and Managing Director of Vistaara Architects (Pvt.) Ltd.  As someone who has an unquenchable thirst for art, he regards time as everything and space as secondary.

Palash asserts that he is satisfied with what life has so far given him both mentally and materialistically. “We should design our time best suited to life. The simple math of my life is to include all virtues within bracket and keep all vices outside it,” he said.

He leads life like a brohmochari. “The gifted soul is as simple as soil. One can easily see his identical inside and outside. The Chhayanaut graduate in Sitar can also play esraj, piano and many other musical instruments at ease,” said Palash's wife Shahzia Islam Anton, who is also an architect, singer and co-founder of Delvistaa Foundation.            

Vibrant colours, varied shapes and a kaleidoscopic vision are the hallmarks of Palash's artworks. His evocative lines create dazzling rays -- each possessing an individual look and language.
