Farooki’s “Doob” now on Netflix

A still from the film.

Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's "Doob", featuring Irrfan Khan, Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Rokeya Prachy, and Parno Mittra in the lead roles, is now streaming on Netflix.

The India-Bangladesh joint venture is produced by Jaaz Multimedia and Eskay Movies, with Irrfan Khan, who passed away in April 2020 due to a rare colon cancer, as a co-producer.

The film was also selected for a nomination in the Foreign Language Film Award category in the Oscars, by the Oscar Bangladesh Committee.

Alongside being one of the most discussed films of 2017, "Doob" (No Bed of Roses) gave way to many controversies, for its similarities with the life of legendary author Humayun Ahmed. After a long struggle with the censor board, the film was finally released across 73 halls in Bangladesh and India.
