A landmark for ‘Aynabaji’

Bangladeshi crime-thriller film, "Aynabaji", released in 2016, secured the second position with a staggering rating of 9.1 out of 10 points in the international platform Amberscript.com.

This is a prestigious accomplishment for the film's team and for Bangladesh's film industry at large.

The site published a list of the world's top-ranked films based on the an analysis of films from 130 countries and IMDB's rating score. IMDB is the world's most popular and authoritative source for movie, TV and celebrity content, with ratings and reviews for the newest movies and TV shows.

Kosovo's "Zana" (2019)  jointly shares the position with "Aynabaji", as it also has a  rating of 9.1 out of 10 points.

The top of the list is taken by "The Shawshank Redemption", released in 1994, with a 9.2 rating. The UK's "Dark Knight" (2008) and Sri Lanka's "Aloko Udapadi" (2017) jointly secured the third position with 9.0 ratings.

"Aynabaji", directed by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury and produced by Ziauddin Adil, features Chanchal Chowdhury, Masuma Rahman Nabila and Partho Barua in significant roles.

The screenplay of the film is written by Anam Biswas and Syed Gaosul Alam Shaon. It also stars Lutfur Rahman George, Heera Chowdhury, Shawkat Osman, Brindabon Das, Gousul Alam, Iffat Trisha and others. In addition to being screened at film festivals in different countries, 'Aynabaji' won the National Film Award in seven categories.

Earlier on September 30, the 4th anniversary of "Aynabaji" was celebrated by its cast and crew members.
