Kabori to feature Sohel Rana and Alamgir in her latest directorial venture

After many years, Kabori, the adored diva of the Bangladesh film industry, is set to return with her latest project, Ei Tumi Shie Tumi. According to her, the plot is based on a love triangle.

Apart from directing the film, Kabori will also feature as one of the titular characters in the film, sharing the screen with Sohel Rana and Alamgir. Besides the romance shared by the three, Ei Tumi Shie Tumi will also focus on the relationship of a younger couple, with their modern take on love as well. The director plans offer the role of the young female lead to an actor from West Bengal whom she admires, while the young male lead will be played by a Bangladeshi.

“People still watch the films of our time,” reminisced Kabori. “Due to that, I was inspired to focus on a love story from that period, in today’s film. And that is why I have decided that Sohel Rana and Alamgir will co-star with me in Ei Tumi Shie Tumi.”

Kabori informed that Sohel Rana has already committed to the film, but Alamgir is yet to confirm. She is optimistic about his assurance, but in case if he does not agree, Kabori will need to hand-pick another actor from her era to complete the love triangle.

Ei Tumi Shie Tumi is a government-funded film, which will begin shooting from October. Kabori last directed the film Ayna.
