Renowned TV actor Apurba, armed with an arsenal of sharp features, charm, and acting prowess, has been making waves in the entertainment industry for over a decade now. Although he works almost exclusively on television projects, Apurba has also acted in films and is currently one of the most sought-after actors in the fraternity. On the joyous occasion of the heartthrob actor’s birthday today, The Daily Star caught up with him to discuss his birthday plans, childhood birthday memories and more.

First things first, a very happy birthday to you!

Thank you! I am thankful to The Daily Star for remembering me on my birthday. This day carries special significance to me since it marks the beginning of my life here in this world.

What are your plans for today?

I will be home all day. I have kept my schedule free of any work. I usually do not work on my birthdays and as such, will be spending time with my family at home. A few close friends and relatives will be coming over to join as well.

It is also your son Ayash’s birthday today. How does it feel to share your birthday with your son?

It is quite a strange, yet wonderful feeling. It fills me with joy knowing that both our birthdays are on the same day. But the family celebrates as though it is only his birthday, which my son and I equally enjoy.

Do you reminisce birthdays from your childhood?

I do, every time my birthday comes around. My son reminds me even more of my childhood birthdays. Honestly, birthdays in those years were always extraordinary. It is impossible to get those experiences back. But I do remember and miss those times dearly.

How do you respond to all the love and blessings from fans on your birthday?

I really appreciate it all. It feels like a gift from God. It is a tremendous feat to be on the receiving end of so many people’s love and I believe this is my biggest achievement in life. I realise the gravity of that love even more on my birthdays. It feels great.

What projects are you currently occupied with?

I am mostly busy with television dramas. This is a particularly busy time of the year since Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha create back-to-back demand for content. I have already made quite a few commitments for telefictions set to release on Eid ul Adha and still am on the way to lock a couple more projects. Looking forward to doing some good quality work in the near future.
