Habib Wahid hospitalised

Popular musician Habib Wahid is undergoing treatment at Dhaka's Universal Medical College Hospital for lung infection.

His father, renowned singer Ferdous Wahid, said that Habib was admitted to the hospital on April 1. "He had a slight fever and cough. After going to the hospital, I got to know that 35 percent of his lungs were infected. In medical terms, this is called Covid pneumonia," he further stated. "Although there is no cause for concern at present, he needs to stay in the hospital for a while. He should be able to return home in a day or two."
