The auditorium of Goethe Institut Bangladesh was filled with the tunes of classical music maestros like Frédéric Chopin, Eugène Ysaÿe, Beethoven and many more on September 13 at the instrumental concert titled Flaming Acoustics. It was jointly organised by Classical Music Academy of Dhaka and Music for Bangladesh association.

Six aspiring instrumentalists from Bangladesh shared the stage with their mentors German violinist Simon Kierspel and American pianist Matthew Balaban. Kierspel is also the founder of the Music for Bangladesh association.

During the opening speech Matthew Balaban spoke in impeccable Bangla. He mentioned that he intends to spread awareness and enhance the practice of western classical music. Although the musicians represented three continents, they spoke the same language of music. The houseful auditorium was a clear indication of the fondness for western classical music in the city.

The six Bangladeshi music apprentices Sucharit Shuvanan Rahman (Violin), Nahian Kabyo (Violin), Ikhtara Hasan (Violin), Reeju Gomes (Flute), Niloy Gomes (Guitar) and Imran Hossen Joy (Guitar) performed tunes of some of the world's most masterful musicians beautifully.
