ELSFOB formed to support event logistics workers during pandemic

More than 6,000 event logistics support providers operate in the country, employing around 5 lakh workers. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, their livelihoods face dire peril, as events have stopped altogether due to the risk of infection.

In order to help top organisations of the event logistics providers in Bangladesh, Visual Equipment Service Providers Business Cooperative Society Ltd (VESPBS), Light and Sound Business Cooperative Association Ltd (LSBA) and Bangladesh Sound Light and Logistics Rental Co-operative (BSLLR) have come together to build a new forum, titled Event Logistics Support Forum of Bangladesh (ELSFOB). The forum was made with a 27-member Executive Committee with Md Fuad Shihab as its Convener, Md Rafiqul Islam as the Member Secretary, and A Z Mamun as the Finance Secretary.

The organisation called for the attention of the Prime Minister and the top echelons of the government to support the event logistics companies at this time of crisis. ELSFOB is currently holding meetings through video conferences, in order to gauge and find solutions for the situation.
