Eight directors to direct eight web originals for Cinematic

Eight renowned television and film directors are making eight web originals for the OTT platform, Cinematic. Shihab Shaheen, Golam Sohrab Dodul, Ashfaque Nipun, Imraul Rafat, Kajal Arefin Ome, Raihan Rafi, Sanjoy Somadder and Mizanur Rahman Aryan, are directing these projects.

Each web original, produced by Live Technologies Limited, is 90 minutes long. "Hopefully, we will be able to release the originals consecutively from the end of this month," shared Tamjid Ul Alam Atul, Marketing Director at Live Technologies Limited.

Raihan Rafi's Janowar, featuring Taskeen Rahman in the lead role, is based on a true event in Gazipur. The Sanjoy Somadder directorial Troll, wrapped up filming at the end of last month. The web original will feature 100 actors, including Apurba and Tasnia Farin.

Directed by Shihab Shaheen, Jaya explores drug addiction and its impacts on a family. Afran Nisho and Mehazabien Chowdhury, who play the lead roles, are scheduled to start shooting for the project this month.

Kajal Arefin Ome, Imraul Rafat and Ashfaque Nipun's web originals are scheduled to start shooting from this month.

Ashfaque Nipun's project features Afran Nisho in the lead role, among others. "My web original is a thriller, reflecting the political ideologies and the social and political realities of our state," shared the director.

"The story of my web original, Parashpar, revolves around a family and their daily lives," added Mizanur Rahman Aryan.
