CUET’s Joyoddhoney organises ‘Proyash - Battle to Save a Life’

'Proyash - Battle to Save a Life' is a charity concert, organised by Joyoddhoney, CUET, alongside Chittagong Student Forum and cuetnews24.com. The event aims to help Meherin Islam, a young girl suffering from severe kidney failure. She needs BDT 25 lakhs for her treatment and recovery.

Although Meherin secured a seat in the department of Urban and Regional Planning (URP) at the 2019 admission test in CUET, she couldn't be officially admitted into the institute due to her illness. Subsequently, Joyoddhoney took the initiative of organising the charity event. They have already donated BDT 40,342 to Meherin's father.

The event has three main segments on music, dance and recitation. It welcomes participants from schools, colleges and universities. Members from the band Shironamhin are set to judge the music segment, alongside Karishma Sanu Shovvota. Winners of this segment will get a chance to perform with Shironamhin at a live concert. Ridy Sheikh will judge the dance segment, and facilitate a workshop for the selected contestants. Noted reciter Mili Chowdhury will be the adjudicator of the recitation segment.

In addition, Jon Kabir from Indalo, Raef Al Hasan Rafa from Avoidrafa, Shishir Ahmed from Aurthohin, Soumen Das form Warfaze, Raihan Islam Shuvro from Chirkutt, Nazim Uddin Zahed, the founder of ARPEGGIO, Mashrur Enan from Keto Bhai will be assisting the team.

Joyoddhoney will air the grand finale of 'Proyash- Battle to Save a Life' on its official Facebook event page, soon.
