Chhichhore: ‘Dangal’ director promises a heart-warming tale of friendship

Renowned Indian film maker Nitesh Tiwari (Chillar Party, Dangal) returns with his new comedy-drama film Chhichhore. The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Prateik Babbar among others.   The trailer of the film was released on August 4, which is celebrated as the friendship day worldwide.

It was no coincidence that the core theme of the film is in fact, friendship. Initially set in the early ‘90s, Chhichhore follows a group of college friends - Anni (Sushant Singh Rajput), Maya (Shraddha Kapoor), Sexa (Varun Sharma), Derek (Tahir Raj Bhasin), Acid (Naveen Polishetty), Mummy (Tushar Pandey) and Bevda (Saharsh Kumar Shukla). The film flits between the past and the present, tracing the seven friends from their college days to 20 years later.

Chhichhore is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment alongside Fox Star Studios. Pritam has composed the music, while Amitabh Bhattacharya has written the songs.

The film is set to be released on September 6, 2019.
