Chanchal Chowdhury in a BTV serial for the first time

For the first time in his storied career, Chanchal Chowdhury is going to star in a regular television serial on BTV. The serial, titled Kaaler Jatra, is being shot at the channel’s headquarters at Rampura. It is adapted from the book by the same name, written by theatre personality Mamunur Rashid. The story involves a struggling theatre troupe in a small town, where Chanchal’s character is the leader of the troupe. “It feels really good to finally work in a regular series in BTV, and I am sure that the audience will really like the TV serial,” says Chanchal. Kaaler Jatra is scheduled to air soon.
