Celebrating 30th anniversary of Sahitya-Sangskriti Parishad

Marking the 30th anniversary of Sahitya-Sangskriti Parishad, a five-day festival was inaugurated recently at the premises of Chunarughat DCP High School in Chunarughat, Habiganj.

Subarna Mostafa, prominent actor and a Member of Parliament, inaugurated the festival and Professor Dr Syed Anwar Hossain was present as the chief guest on the first day of the event. Chunarughat Sahitya- Sangskriti Parishad President Saleh Uddin presided over the inaugural ceremony. Prior to the inaugural ceremony, a rally was organised.

The festival began with a dance routine on acclaimed singer Monir Khan’s songs. Later, musical and dance performances, along with other cultural programmes, were also held. The first day programme concluded with the songs of Radharaman and Baul Abdul Karim.

The second day of the programme, presided over by Poet Jewel Majhar, Editor, Banglanews24.com, featured discussions, theatres, and prize-giving sessions. Mustafiz Shafi, acting editor of Daily Samakal, was present at the occasion as the chief guest.

 The festival will conclude on December 21.
