Catching up with Monalisa

Celebrated model and actor Monalisa ruled over the showbiz industry with her elegance, winning multiple awards over the years for her performances as an actor, including the Channel i Performance Award and Meril Prothom Alo 2002. She currently resides in the USA. The Daily Star caught up with her to know more about her recent activities.

 "Given the present circumstances, I feel fortunate to be healthy," says Monalisa. "My day starts with prayers for my loved ones, and I wake up every day with hopes of a better tomorrow."

The artiste, who lives in New York, has started attending her online software engineering classes. She also collaborated with Tony Dias on one of his online productions recently. At home, she spends her time cooking, cleaning and staying in touch with her loved ones over the phone and social media. "I don't get out of the house without any emergencies," she adds. "As I am far away from home, I miss my friends, co-stars and relatives, but I miss my mother the most. She is in Singapore with my sister right now. I hope to see her as soon as the situation gets better."

Monalisa further added that she would have been in Bangladesh right now and stayed here till after Eid- Ul-Fitr. "I did not go ahead with my plans, because of the coronavirus outbreak.  However, I will re-book my tickets once the current crisis is under control," she says. "In the meantime, I request all my fans and well-wishers to stay at home."
