The British Council Cultural Centre is all set to hold exhibitions in Dhaka and Chattogram on children’s book illustrations in the coming weeks. Commissioned by the British Council, it will be curated by the Waterstones UK Children’s Laureate, Lauren Child.

‘Drawing Words’ features ten illustrators from across the UK, whose works play an important role in the contemporary British picture book illustration sector. The exhibition is an opportunity for people to look at children’s picture book illustrations and discover a new generation of books and artists.

The exhibition will open at the British Council head office in Fuller Road, Dhaka tomorrow and will continue till July 11. In Cox’s Bazaar, there will be a two-day long exhibition at the District Government Public Library on June 29 and 30. ‘Drawing Words’ will be open from 10 am to 7 pm, daily, at both the locations, on their respective dates. The exhibitions are free and open for all.
