‘Biography of Nazrul’ trailer to release today

Ferdous Khan has directed Biography of Nazrul, a full-length documentary on the life of Bangladesh's National Poet. The trailer of the documentary will be released today at 8 pm, marking the death anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam.

State Minister for Cultural Affairs K M Khalid will be present at the virtual launching ceremony for the trailer. The other guests include M Badrul Arefin, Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Kamrun Nahar, Secretary of the Ministry of Information, National Professor Rafiqul Islam, Professor Serajul Islam Chowdhury, Dr Badhon Sengupta, Kalyani Kazi, daughter-in-law of the poet, granddaughters of the poet Khilkhil Kazi and Anindita Kazi, Professor Mustafizur Rahman, VC of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University and Dr Sadhan Chakraborti, Vice Chancellor of Kazi Nazrul University at Asansol among others are scheduled to join the programme online.

Under the banner of Nazrul Center, the 1 hour and 34 minutes documentary received Bangladesh Film Censor Board's certificate recently. The film is set for release as soon as the COVID-19 pandemic subsides in the country.
