BDM to screen ‘Poramon 2’ in Sydney

Drive-in movie theatres have been around for a long time, and they are particularly popular in Australia. In a first of its kind initiative, Bangla Drive-in Movies (BDM) is set to host a special screening of Poramon 2, directed by Raihan Rafi, on August 8, in Fairfield Showground, Sydney, at 6 pm. The announcement was made at a recent virtual press conference.

BDM is founded by Sydney based IT expert Wahid Siddique, Financial planner Akash Ahsan and celebrated filmmaker Dipankar Dipon. The stars of Poramon 2, Siam Ahmed and Puja Cherry, alongside musician Imran Mahmudul and director Raihan Rafi were present at the press conference, among others. Dipankar Dipon emceed the event, where he introduced Akash and Wahid to members of the press.

According to Dipankar Dipon, it is a good time to have screenings that promote social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic. The makers are incredibly honoured to be able to present Poramon 2 to an international audience.

The passes for the screening will be available at Krazy Tickets. For more details, visit www. bangladriveinmovies.com.
