Bangladeshi model Tangia Zaman Methila in Haider Khan's 'Rohingya: People From Nowhere'

Bangladeshi model Tangia Zaman Methila will be seen in the role of Husne Ara, a Rohingya genocide survivor, in Rohingya: People From Nowhere. Produced by Thunder Dragon Production, this Bollywood feature film is directed by Haider Khan. According to Methila, nearly two-thirds of the film was shot in Assam, India.

Alongside directing, Haider Khan has also written the screenplay and dialogues of the production. He has worked as an assistant director for superhits such as Commando, among others, and is also a skilled photographer.

Haider, who met Methila for work purposes before, had asked her to give a look test for the film. After the cast was finalised, she visited India and learned the language of the Rohingya people.

The film focuses on the love story of a simple Rohingya girl. Though the shooting of the film is almost complete, the team plans to release it next year.
