Art competition and exhibition for children with special needs held

For the welfare of the children with special needs, Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited continues to extend its support every year since 2009. In accordance to that, an event was organised at Abinta Gallery of Fine Arts recently. Berger handed over financial grants to multiple organisations working for the specially abled children in Bangladesh.

A prize giving ceremony was held to award the winners of the art competition. An exhibition of the participating artworks was also inaugurated at the event. Rupali Chowdhury, Managing Director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, inaugurated the exhibition which showcased all the 117 participating paintings.

SEID (Society for Education and Inclusion of the Disabled), Autism Welfare Foundation, Society for The Welfare of Autistic Children, Scholars Special School, Proyash Bisheshayito Shikkha Protisthan, Alokito Shishu, Tauri Foundation- School for Gifted Children, and Community Development Center are among the organisations to receive grant. This financial aid will be used for centre operations, house rent, training centre expenses, equipment for the disabled, appliances for special education, education expenses, and calendar.

Since 2011, Berger Paints has been arranging art competitions for children with special needs. The annual competition, provide awards to six winners in two groups, Group A (6-10 years) and Group B (11-15 years). On the occasion, Rupali Chowdhury, Managing Director, Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, handed over the crests, and Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, Senior General Manager- Sales and Marketing, handed over the prize money and certificates to the winners of the contest.

The winners are Bappy Tripura (1st), Mashrur Ahmed Aayaz (2nd), Fahim Faisal (3rd) in Group A, and Rehin Al Shahib (1st), Munni (2nd), and Santa Akter (3rd) in Group B. The judges of the competition handed over gifts to the winners.
