Arafat Mohsin Nidhi, known for his jingles for major international brands like Nescafe and Huawei, also wrote and produced music for numerous albums, feature films and telefilms. The spearhead behind numerous hit songs as a part of Studio 58, he released his first EP, Thako, earlier this year. Recently, he composed and sang a jingle in Punjabi for India’s Metro Shoes. The advertisement film was directed by Huzefa Rawla and produced under the banner of VAT Films. The jingle is written by Kashtan Habib from Bangladesh. Nidhi got the offer for the project through Sanjay Rodrigues, one of his acquaintances.

“I collaborated with Kashtan Habib because he was more familiar with Punjabi songs than I was.  Initially, I just planned to compose the music for the jingle and let a Punjabi artiste from India sing it,” explains Nidhi. “But when I sang a demo for the client, they were really happy with it and they decided to use my voice. Although I was shy in the beginning because I hardly knew the language, I truly enjoyed the experience.”
