Ami Kothay Harabo - A one of a kind initiative

Three prominent musicians, Emil Karim, Fuad Almuqtadir and Jon Kabir, collaborated for the music video titled Ami Kothay Harabo, which released recently on Gaanchill Music’s official YouTube channel. The soundtrack is for the short film, Ferar Gaan on iflix, directed by Shafayet Mansoor Rana.

Entirely shot on a smartphone by a renowned brand, the initiative is amongst the first of its kind in Bangladesh. Penned by Tanvir Chowdhury, Ami Kothay Harabo was composed and arranged by Fuad, and voiced by Emil of Shunno fame. Jon played the titular character, both in the short film and the music video.

The plot for Ferar Gaan revolves around the life of a star, played by Jon. When a die-hard fan tries to confront him, his ego gets the best of him and the fan is thrown out. Soon Jon begins to suffer the consequences of karma, and to right his wrong, he embarks on a journey to locate that fan. The music video shows how a disillusioned star desperately searches for the admirer, and upon finding him, spends time with him, hoping that all will be well.
