Adnan Al Rajeev, Pritom Hasan and Ziaul Hoque Polash together in "YouTumor"

Filmmaker Adnan Al Rajeev has started shooting for his new production "YouTumor", recently. The web film casts Pritom Hasan and Ziaul Hoque Polash in lead. 

The shooting began yesterday at Bolsila, Mohammadpur. The film is expected to air on the soon-to-launch video streaming platform, Chorki.

"The best part of working with the team of Chorki is that they let you execute your intent with freedom," says the director. "Also, the film is based on a very contemporary issue and thus, I hope the audience will like this production".

The shooting was inaugurated in a small ceremony where A B M Jabed Sultan Pias. Digital Business Manager, Prothom Alo, Redoan Rony, CEO of Chorki, and content officer Adar Rahman, alongside the cast and crew of the film, were in attendance. 

"We had promised to keep our audience entertained throughout the year at the beginning of 2021. Keeping that promise, Chorki will be releasing 12 films in the next 12 months. "YouTumor" is the first release of this initiative," shares Redoan Rony. 

The film is scripted on stories and incidents that have been occurring while adapting to technology in the coronavirus pandemic.

"I agreed to the offer instantly when I heard that this film will be directed by Adnan Al Rajeev," says Polash when asked about the reason behind choosing to appear on the screen as an actor alongside being a musician. "The film is very well written and this motivated me to take up this project. If more such films are made, the audience won't have to look elsewhere for entertainment."
