24th Berger Young Painters’ Art Competition 2019 award ceremony held

The award ceremony of the 24th Berger Young Painters’ Art Competition (BYPAC) 2019, was held at the La Vita Hall of Lakeshore Hotel, recently.

The programme kicked off with a welcome speech by Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, Senior General Manager (Sales & Marketing), Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, followed by the valuable words of Mohammad Eunus, Professor, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, along with the jury members of BYPAC 2019. Rupali Chowdhury, Managing Director, Berger Paints congratulated the winners in her speech and thanked all the participants, jury committee and eminent artists for making this competition successful.

The six winners of the contest are Nur Munjerin Rimjhim, Rumana Rahman, Chitram Sen Anik, Md Ashraful Alam, Md. Rafiqul Islam and Ashim Chowdhury, respectively.

Rupali Chowdhury handed over the crests to the winners and the certificates to the participants. The prize money was handed over by the members of the jury committee.

Prominent artist Professor Abdus Shakoor Shah was horoured with Life Time Achievement Award of BYPAC 2019.

The event progressed with various music, dance and instrumental performances.

The exhibition of the selected 40 paintings of BYPAC 2019, including the 6 winning artworks will be held at Zainul Gallery (Gallery-1) from November 21 till November 26, from 10 am to 8 pm. It is open for all.
