Shakira's new video rockets to 100m views

Just three weeks after its premiere, Shakira's newest music video “Chantaje” featuring Maluma is already breaking records. The clip, which made its debut on November 18, has not only become Vevo Certified after reaching over 100 million views in just a matter of weeks, but it is the fastest-ever Spanish-language video to reach that milestone.

The Colombian superstar took to social media to share the news with her millions of followers. “Yes, I am in a bathtub and even though I don't have any bubbles or champagne, I'm celebrating 'Chantaje's' 100 million views. Thank you so much, I love you guys.”

“Thank you to all the fans for making this song a hit,” the singer tweeted.

On the charts, “Chantaje” debuted at No. 1 on Hot Latin Songs, becoming only the 14th track to debut atop the chart in its 30-year history. The reggaetón song also bowed at No. 96 on the Billboard Hot 100, Maluma's first and Shakira's 19th hit on the list.
